Our stay at Shoonya was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for peace, relaxation, breathtaking views, and a true escape from city life, this place is a must-visit. A special thanks to the hosts, RK and Mahima. Hats off to them for creating such a thoughtfully planned retreat. Every aspect of the property reflects attention to detail and a deep understanding of what guests need to feel comfortable and at home. The location is simply perfect—serene, scenic, and surprisingly easy to reach. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, and the entire property encourages you to slow down and reconnect with nature. The food was delicious throughout our stay, prepared with great care and quality. We especially appreciated the warmth and hospitality of the staff. A big thank you to Sanju and Bhawan for their humble nature, prompt assistance, and genuine care. Their efforts made our stay even more memorable. Traveling with our family, including our young child, we felt comfortable, welcomed, and completely at ease throughout the trip. Shoonya is not just a place to stay; it's an experience. We had a perfect stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for tranquility, natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. Thank you, RK, Mahima, Sanju, and Bhawan, for making our stay so special. We look forward to visiting again.Posted on Google Navneet SinghJune 27, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a wonderful stay at Shoonya. What stood out the most was the beautiful greenery and the many cozy little spots where you could just sit back and relax. The property has plenty of activities too, we enjoyed playing darts in the game room and trying our hand at archery. One of our favorite areas was the mud house with a traditional oven next to it, offering a beautiful view and a very peaceful vibe. The food was good, and the overall atmosphere made for a perfect weekend getaway. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape.Posted on Google Rajiv ChauhanJune 27, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Stayed for 3 night with family. Mahima, the owner, ensured that we have a comfortable stay. Caretaking staff and cooks did a fab job to make our stay memorable. Lot of activities in and around property.Posted on Google Sheikh Kashif FaizJune 25, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 5 stars. Amazeballs. I never thought my stay would be so wonderful. At first, I was a little skeptical about a staycation with a group of 10 people as normally this would end in cramped spaces but Shoonya is designed in such a way that everyone had their own warm corners in the whole cottage. We were having our college reunion after 11 years, so all of us needed a relaxing space where we could all catch up with each other. 1. The Property - Despite being slightly off-road, the property had no issues with connectivity, and it was very easy to find. The hosts sent us a helper who met us on the road and helped us carry our luggage safely to our cottage. And once we reached there, it was like walking into a big, beautiful home with gardens and open spaces, which immediately made us feel like we were not in a hotel or an average BNB. It instantly felt like home. The interiors were also carefully designed/curated by the hosts, giving us a feeling of inclusivity and very close to nature yet being very modern. The facilities were top-notch, like a nice hotel, where we had very clean bathrooms, bed linens, etc. 2. The Food - They have an in-house kitchen and a fairly extensive menu where they use locally sourced ingredients for the food. And it reflected in the taste in every dish we ordered. Whether it was their authentic Pahadi dishes or basic North Indian dishes, all the food they served definitely felt like homemade food, and it was a good break for us from all the city/cafe food we have in our daily lives. Also, kudos to the kitchen team because they served food all over the property and not just in your room. You just had to contact them over WhatsApp, and they would drop whatever you need wherever you need. 3. Things to do - as we were having our reunion after such a long time, the common areas enabled us to keep our phones aside and spend some time with each other doing things that we normally don’t get to do anywhere. Like watching birds. The hosts had thorough knowledge of the birds and could even tell their species by just their birdcalls. We saw some unique birds singing all day long and honestly it was like music that was playing in the background throughout. It felt very relaxing. So relaxing that we had a couple of exes from our group reconcile after such a long time. Haha! They had a loft from where you could see quite far and it was very windy up there but very nice. There was a “Fire and Feast” area as well where they had made an old village-style mud kitchen where the guests can try cooking if they feel like. My favourite space was the common room “Kriti” where they had provided a lot of board games, painting supplies and it had huge glass windows from where you could see some mountains. Also, the listening room was very cool as well. They have a mic and really good speakers where we had a karaoke night. They also took us out on a night trek in the mountains. Very cool. 4. The hosts - Rashmikant (RK) and Mahima were like the coolest couple we have ever met. They were like an inspiration for our whole group. They were exceptional conversationalists who genuinely showed interest and shared their knowledge about life, philosophy, and everything you can think of. They are very well-read and had keen interest in Kant, Hegel, and Schopenhauer. RK is a stupendous singer as well. He literally performed for us for more than an hour or so singing all the 90s bangers. Mahima had a very calm and peaceful vibe where she knew everything that was going on on the property and on top of that, she was a fantastic cook specialising in some of the famous Pahadi dishes that she cooked in front of us, also encouraging people to get involved who were interested in cooking. Overall, if you’re looking for a place where you want to reconnect with nature with your loved ones without worrying about compromising with facilities. This is the place to go. Also, if you’re from Delhi NCR like us, this property is within a comfortable driving range, making it perfect for a weekend getaway or even for remote work and longer stays.Posted on Google aayushi dalalJune 10, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We booked Shoonya expecting a nice mountain getaway, but what we got was an identity crisis because suddenly we wanted to quit our jobs and move there permanently. 😂 The Airbnb photos genuinely do not do this place justice. It is even more beautiful in real life. The property is peaceful, spotless, and every little detail of the decor is so thoughtfully done. A huge shoutout to the team at Shoonya for making our stay extra special. They set up the most gorgeous picnic for us and made sure we were comfortable throughout. Their warmth and hospitality truly elevated the experience. And the biggest highlight? The food. Every meal felt like home. The fulkas were so soft and fresh that they genuinely reminded me of the ones my mom makes. It is rare to find a place that gets luxury and comfort just right, but Shoonya does it effortlessly. Thank you to Mahima, RK and the entire team at Shoonya for such a beautiful experience. Can't wait to be back! ❤️Posted on Google Mrinal GaurJune 8, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. May 2026 - We recently visited Mukhteshwar and we wanted to stay offbeat like a an Airbnb surrounded by a lot of quiet and beauty with only natural sounds. Shoonya was way more than that and beyond our expectations. It is not just surrounded by beautiful mountain range but it has very curated design and interiors. Very thoughtfully assembled, starting from every room having it's own mini library to so many different spaces to just chill, drink a cup of tea or sing or play or whatnot. if you are looking for a digital detox, this is the place for that. Also, there are so many hiking trails to explore around it. It was one great experience of a lifetime. Special mention to the service team who were so thoughtful in taking our food orders, helping us out with any info and giving us the best experience!Posted on Google Maitrayee GhoshJune 6, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Shoonya offered us a fantastic experience, excelling on all fronts - rooms, staff support, food, ambience. It will continue to be one of our very cherished stays with the way they welcomed and loved our dog. Needless to say, we plan to return very very soon. From a pup bed in the room to bowls for food/drink to everything else that one may need for their pet, everything was already thoughtfully taken care of, even before we reached the room. Add to that, the amazing local dogs who gave us company on the two days of our stay and you get the recipe to a memorable experience. Coming to the more practical bits, we stayed in two categories of rooms Ivy Quad and Ivy Coupe and both were super duper cozy. The owners are very warm and take time to personally welcome and see off each guest. The staff is very helpful and try their best to make you feel the most comfortable irrespective of the time of day or weather. The entire area is blessed with quietude and you can simply listen to the music of birds and frogs day and night, in that order. Imagine walking in one such area with your partner, your dog and a local furbaby, playing ball and just soaking in the beauty of the green around you - indeed the most beautiful experience that one may want to have. Returning from Shoonya felt like waking up from a magical dream that I want to live again.Posted on Google Anirban MitraJune 6, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a wonderful stay at Shoonya and came back feeling truly refreshed. The property is beautifully set amidst nature, offering the perfect escape from city life. What made the experience especially memorable was the warmth and hospitality of the hosts. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The cottages were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and every little detail reflected the care that has gone into creating this place. A special mention to Apple and Cuffle, who added so much joy to our stay! Spending time with them was one of the highlights of the trip.
