I had an exceptional stay at Shoonya! I discovered this place very randomly on instagram and it immediately piqued my curiosity. When I went there, what I found was an incredibly warm, picturesque homestay with all amenities- they have really made the effort to ensure that even the little things are taken care of. We had such a lovely stay at Shoonya. The views of Nanda Devi and Trishul are simply spectacular, the rooms are cosy and comfortable, the food is delicious, and the hosts are wonderful. Communication was great from start to finish, which made the whole experience even smoother. And of course, a special mention to Apple, the sweetest four-legged host!

There’s something so special about the silence, the mountains, and the unhurried pace of life here. It’s the kind of place where you truly disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself. A beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The resort is thoughtfully designed, with attention to the little details. We stayed in the attic, and the room was absolutely beautiful. There are places that are beautiful, and then there are places that have clearly been created with a lot of thought and heart. Shoonya is definitely the latter.

What I loved most is how thoughtfully the place has been put together. You notice the little things everywhere. It has all the modern amenities you could want, but somehow still retains the rawness and charm of the mountains.

We stayed at the Mrida Twin, and the view from the balcony is something else. The Himalayas in the distance, the village and farms below, people going about their day, and the sun playing across the landscape. It’s the kind of view you can just sit with and take in.

The food was delicious yet wonderfully homely. Loved the barbecue and pretty much everything we tried from the menu.

The staff was absolutely lovely - warm, attentive and always happy to help. Every little request was taken care of with a smile.

It was my birthday trip and I was travelling with my family which has four 58years+ adults, my two years old daughter and my wife.
The property is clean, elegant and aesthetic. Each corner has been paid great attention to detail.
We drank ginger lemon tea on the skydeck looking at the majestic mountains and clouds forming and dissolving each passing second, we talked in the cozy listening room where my wife sat on the floating jhula, we had crazy fun filled karaoke nights at the main room, and I can go on and on.
The food is sumptuous beyond words. Each item gets a five star from us. You must try their aate ka halwa.
Apple and kafal are such cute dogs. Apple accompanied us on every hike, she also saw us off till the time we got seated in the cab.
RK and Mahima are great hosts and we wish them great success.

A special thanks to RK and Mahima, who took care of every detail—having everything on hand, from toiletries to basic medicines, made our trip completely hassle-free.
