EXCELLENT Based on 187 reviews Posted on niharika agarwalApril 1, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place is truly a peaceful escape, far away from all the noise and rush of everyday life. It’s the kind of place where you don’t feel like going anywhere just sitting, relaxing, and enjoying a quiet lunch in the lap of nature feels more than enough. Evenings are special here. Sipping tea while watching the sunset is such a calming experience that you lose track of time. The food deserves a special mention . it was absolutely delicious! Everything was freshly prepared, and you could really taste the warmth and care in every bite. The caretaker, Bhavan Bhaiya, is incredibly kind and welcoming. He makes sure you’re comfortable and taken care of at all times, which adds so much to the overall experience. And the doggies! They are the cutest part of the stay. If you love animals, you’ll really enjoy spending time with them they’re affectionate and add so much joy. Yes, there’s a short walk to reach the place, but honestly, it’s completely worth it. The moment you arrive, you realise why it’s serene, refreshing, and perfect for slowing down. If you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway away from the city to relax and recharge, this is a perfect place to be. Truly a memorable and peaceful experience. Also, my Husband arranged a beautiful candle light dinner for me sitting admits the mountains, oh! It was nothing less than a dreamy birthday for me. They have resources, and they are well equipped to plan and arrange things for you. We chilled by the bonfire, had some drinks and listened music while doing all of that.Posted on ruchi chawlaMarch 31, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have been to Mukteshwar so many times, but never new this hidden gem...this time it was Shoonya...the concept of Nothingness is an awesome one!...Worth staying..we would like to come back again here. Special thanks to he owners and Kudos to Bhawan Bhayiya and his team for such a warm and nice service :)Posted on Shivam SharmaMarch 29, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place felt less like a stay and more like borrowing a quiet little corner of the mountains for a while. Waking up to birds was a nice reset I didn’t know I needed. Mahima and RK were incredibly thoughtful without ever being intrusive, the kind who just seem to know when to step in and make things better. The staff were just as warm, and they handled my dietary preferences so seamlessly it never felt like a “special request.” It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, sit with your thoughts, maybe spot a few birds if you’re lucky, and not feel the need to be anywhere else. Staying at Shoonya was one of the best decisions of our trip in the mountains of Uttarakhand. The place is nestled in a quiet and serene village in Letibunga and one can see Nanda Devi and Trishul peaks right from your room. The hosts RK and Mahima and the entire team (Sanju, Sonu & Amit) made all the difference. We stayed for 5 nights with our children and it felt like home. The cottages with an attic are an amazing experience. There's a beautiful common room with a fireplace and library and there's also a separate music room for music lovers. Its a spread out property and there are small treks nearby that one can enjoy. The highlight of the entire experience was the food, especially the LIVE Kumaoni cooking experience by the chef (Bicchu Ghaas ka Saag, Madwe ki Roti and Atta ka halwa). One must try this soulful experience offered by the Chef at Shoonya. This place is incredible for slow living (must spend at least 3 nights here to completely immerse in the simple village life). There are a couple of pet indie dogs (Apple and Kafal) who'll keep you entertained throughout! This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for couples and families who want to enjoy a peaceful and joyous time in the mountains! 5/5 experience overall.Posted on Vibhanshu SirohiMarch 26, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a great experince at Shoonya. The luxuray they offer is unmatchable to any other place. On top of it, the way they handle things are pure class and very personal. The Owner of the property RK is passionate and hospitable guy and his team is even more comfarting.Posted on Priya ChoudharyMarch 25, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a truly wonderful stay at Shoonya. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home. The food was absolutely exceptional—freshly prepared and thoughtfully customised to our liking, which added such a personal touch to the entire experience. What really stood out was the property itself. Each room tells a unique story, and the attention to detail in every corner reflects so much care and thought. It’s a beautifully curated space that you can slowly soak in. We only wish we had stayed longer to fully experience everything, but that just gives us the perfect reason to come back again soon. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, aesthetic, and heartfelt stay. Looking forward to visiting again! 💛Posted on Jubin KatiyarMarch 14, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely breathtaking staycation at Shoonya. RK & Mahima are amazing hosts, and the entire crew makes you feel truly welcome. The rooms are beautiful, the location is stunning, and the property is wonderfully designed with great attention to detail. Our favourite spots were the music room and the star-gazing arena on top. The food was fantastic, both veg and non-veg. It’s also a pet-friendly place. We took our lab Oggy along, and he had an absolute blast there. Thank you for such an enriching experience. Looking forward to coming back and crashing there again soon!Posted on Nimit ShahMarch 14, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was on a solo trip to UK, and so glad I came across Shoonya, where I spent two nights. It was a perfect stay - clean, great food (local and otherwise), quiet location. RK and Mahima were super helpful in recommending a hike nearby. The staff too is quite hospitable, always ready and willing to answer your questions. Special shoutout to Sanju for recommending local dishes and for his hospitality. I will be back (hopefully soon).Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. When we first moved to Mukteshwar 3 years ago, we’d often ask around for nearby walks we could escape to on quieter days.
Almost 1.5 years later, we finally found our way to this short trail—and the first word that came to us was Ekaant.
Somewhere along the way, we met Nandu.
A warm, gentle soul whose home is the last one on this path. We stayed back, lit a small fire, and shared a simple, home-cooked meal from his kitchen—nothing elaborate, yet everything felt complete.
It stayed with us.
Not just the place, but the feeling. And Nandu’s quiet, generous hospitality.
Over time, a few of you have walked this trail too.
Some returned with words, some without—but all carrying a certain stillness with them. Even on days when the mountains hid behind clouds, the journey itself felt full.
If you’re planning a trip to Mukteshwar next, ask us about Ekaant.
We’d love for you to experience it—slowly, and responsibly.
